Downloading and Sharing Reports
The download page is the shared export hub for all PDF reports in the portal. Always navigate to it from the source feature page using the Download report button — do not navigate to it directly.

Step-by-step walkthrough
Important: always start from the source page
Navigate to the download page only by clicking the Download report button on the source feature page (e.g., Audit Prep tab). Do not navigate to /portal/download directly — it will appear empty.
- Open the feature page that generated the report (e.g., the Audit Prep tab on a client dashboard). -> The source data is loaded and the Download report button is visible.
- Click Download report. -> The portal navigates to /portal/download and begins generating the PDF automatically. Do not navigate away while the spinner is running.
- Wait for the progress indicator to complete. -> For audit readiness reports, a progress bar shows while AI gap analysis runs. This may take 15-30 seconds.
- Click Download to save the PDF, or click Share to Teams to send it directly. -> Your browser saves the file or opens the Teams share dialog with the report attached.
Common issues
Download page shows nothing pending
You navigated to /portal/download directly without coming from a source feature page. Go back to the feature (e.g., Audit Prep tab) and use the Download report button there to start the export.
PDF generates but is blank or incomplete
The source report data was empty when the PDF was generated. Return to the source feature, verify that the analysis has completed, and use Download report again.
Download page is stuck on spinner indefinitely
A network timeout or AI service error may have occurred. Reload the page and use the Start new analysis button to regenerate the report from scratch.
Tips
Wait for the spinner before clicking Download
The Download button only appears after generation completes. Clicking away before it appears will cancel the generation and require you to restart from the source page.
Share to Teams after downloading
Use Share to Teams to send the report directly from the download page without first saving it locally.
What to do next
Return to the client dashboard
After downloading, return to the client dashboard to continue reviewing evidence or to start a new analysis for a different standard.
